This week two members of the BGR team had the opportunity to participate in the first Northeast Chapter, AAAE (NEC) Leadership Development Symposium. Jeff Young, BGR's Manager of Compliance and Infrastructure, and Heather Lavaway, Customer Service Supervisor at BGR Aviation, were among the group of leaders who were selected by their airports to attend. This two day seminar took place in Morristown, NJ and was led by Dr. TJ Holloway who offered attendees a comprehensive exploration of assertive communication and conflict management. Additionally, they had the chance to tour Morristown Airport (KMMU) and engage in some valuable networking. The opportunities are soaring at BGR! We're hosting a job fair on Tuesday, June 18 from 11AM-1PM. Representatives from the airport, TSA, FAA, and several of our tenants will all be available to talk with potential candidates. There is no registration required. Interviews will not be held during this event, but please come learn about the full and part-time positions currently available.

Raybo Frank flew from BGR Friday morning on a special mission. Raybo is headed to Texas to help those impacted by the tornadoes. He will be acting as a supervisor in one of the shelters that the Red Cross has established to assist those who have experienced devastation. A retired pastor, this dedicated American Red Cross of Northern New England volunteer is eager to help others, with the desire to bring home “more love." “If the need is there, the Red Cross is there, and Raybo is there.” This is his 31st deployment in the 8 years that he has been a Red Cross volunteer. "Since I’m Red Cross, my mission is to get out there and help the people in need and go from there.” Thanks for choosing BGR, Raybo! We'll see you when you get home! ✈

Runway construction began Monday morning! BGR is in the midst of the largest infrastructure investment projects in the airport history, making improvements for passengers and operations that will allow the airport to remain a vital part of the community and aviation industry for years to come.
