Yesterday, the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation Standing with Our Neighbors (SWON) team delivered a community update alongside our partners at Purpose Built Schools , COR, and FCS - Focused Community Strategies.   Attendees had the opportunity to hear from organizational leaders as well as AVLF clients and volunteers, including Shaniqua Singleton, Partner at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, about the collaborative impact that our teams are having on the lives of students and their families in the Carver School cluster.   SWON reimagines legal services by embedding AVLF staff directly in communities to proactively address housing challenges. By partnering with local schools and other community-based organizations, SWON empowers tenants through education, legal support, and advocacy, building resilience and fostering stability. This approach not only strengthens neighborhoods and families but also reduces school turnover and boosts student performance, contributing to healthier, more vibrant communities.   Thank you to everyone who joined us.
