Rose is a dually certified Speech-Language Pathologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst and will be presenting to team AAC and our community on “The Ethics of SLP/BCBA Collaboration”.

We are excited to share that AAC will be hosting a virtual lunch-and-learn with Rose Griffin, MA, CCC/SLP BCBA, on Wednesday 5/15 from 12:00-1:00! Rose is a dually certified Speech-Language Pathologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst and will be presenting to team AAC and our community on “The Ethics of SLP/BCBA Collaboration”. Specifically, Rose’s presentation will discuss ethical standards related to collaboration, individual and overlapping scopes of practice and competence, and real world strategies that can be implemented to support our collaborative efforts. Rose is the founder of ABA SPEECH. ABA SPEECH offers the ABA SPEECH CONNECTION Membership, trainings, and consultations. Rose is also the host of the Autism Outreach Podcast, a weekly show all about autism and communication. She is a sought after speaker who enjoys connecting with audiences at the local, state, and national level. Rose is passionate about the mission of ABA SPEECH, which is to help all students become more independent communicators.

Dr. Morris will be presenting to team AAC and our community on “Toward a Further Understanding of Assent”. Here are the learning objectives for the presentation: Participants will be able to describe assent and reason it is important Participants will be able to describe the critical components of assent Participants will be able to adapt assent procedures to fit their client’s needs Dr. Cody Morris is an Assistant Professor, Graduate Programs Director of Behavior Analysis, and Chair of the IRB at Salve Regina University. He earned his doctorate in Psychology: Behavior Analysis at Western Michigan University. Cody has published works in prominent behavior analytic journals, including the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis, Behavior Analysis in Practice, and the Journal of Organizational Behavior Management. He has served as a Reviewer for multiple behavior analytic journals and a Guest Associate Editor for Perspectives on Behavior Science and Behavior Analysis in Practice. Currently, Cody is the Director of the Executive Board for the Rhode Island Association for Behavior Analysis and the Executive Producer and Host of Behavior Analysis in Practice- The Podcast.
