I think this is an example of "Getting what you paid for," An OK FREE tool, or an accurate tool that offers higher value, but has a modest price tag. Right now, we are offering an introductory special for new clients who already have a WHP. #electricgrid #electricity #transmission #distribution #TandD #utility #electricutility
Many #utilities use the WHP (#Wildfire #Hazard Potential) data from the US Forest Service to determine the locations with the most wildfire risk in their service territory. Depending upon the state, 25% to 43% of all wildfires occur in areas the WHP reflects as lower risk. Wildfire Hazardous Areas used internally by utilities, built on the WHP are mostly right. But Athena offers a low-cost way to independently confirm the accuracy of the Hazardous Areas designated in your firm’s WMP. We are running a special to test a new product. Your GIS department can upload a polygon and we will send back a map which shows our assessment of the areas with the highest propensity to host a catastrophic wildfire. Reach out to me directly.
