Welcome to Argent Credit Union. We are a full-service, not-for-profit financial cooperative owned and operated by our members. At Argent Credit Union, we return earnings to our members in the form of lower loan rates, higher savings rates, and fewer to no fees. Federally Insured by NCUA. NMLS #421982. Equal Housing Lender. Argent is headquartered in Chester, Virginia, and has four locations throughout the Richmond-metro area. The Credit Union was founded in 1956 originally to serve the employees of the DuPont Spruance facility in Chesterfield and now serves almost 30,000 members. Membership is open to any person who lives, works, attends school, worships or volunteers in the counties of Chesterfield, Henrico, Hanover, and the City of Richmond. It is also extended to immediate family members and housemates of eligible individuals, even if that individual is not a member. Non-deposit investment products and services are offered through CUSO Financial Services, L.P. (“CFS”), a registered broker-dealer (Member FINRA/SIPC) and SEC Registered Investment Advisor. Products offered through CFS: are not NCUA/NCUSIF or otherwise federally insured, are not guarantees or obligations of the credit union, and may involve investment risk including possible loss of principal. Investment Representatives are registered through CFS. The Credit Union has contracted with CFS to make non-deposit investment products and services available to credit union members.

Don’t fall for a utility bill scam. Some thieves will create an ad or email that looks like it’s coming from your water or electricity company. They want you to think that you can pay your bill by clicking on it, but it won’t take you to the real company’s online payment portal. Instead, you may be asked to call them immediately. This is a tactic they use to try to scare you into sharing personal information like a credit card number or bank account. Or they may ask you to pay with an unusual method such as a gift card or money transfer. Instead of using this method to pay a utility bill, make sure you log in through the utility’s own website or call them directly.
