Airlink has been supporting health systems strengthening in #Lebanon since the Beirut Port explosion in 2020. Over the past few weeks, the invasion and mounting violence have made the Lebanese population who were already facing a lack of adept medical care vulnerable. Despite the significant challenges to responding in Lebanon, primarily due to airspace closures in Beirut (BEY), we remain committed to supporting NGO partners like United Palestinian Appeal (UPA) and their local health facilities, ensuring that the Lebanese people have access to the care they need. Most recently, we supported shipments of hospital beds, essential medicines, and emergency health kits to supply UPA clinics in the treatment of over 90,700 patients. Airlink continues to develop our concept of operations by sourcing creative transportation solutions for this response to ensure that the needs of our partner organizations and of beneficiaries on the ground are being met. #TransportSolutions #Logistics #HumanitarianAid #Medicalcare

🚨 In what ways is fuel support essential after a #hurricane? 🚨 Adequate fuel stabilizes communities by enabling emergency responders to reach affected areas, powering generators for essential services, facilitating transportation of supplies and evacuees, and supporting local businesses during recovery. It also ensures effective communication among emergency management agencies, laying the groundwork for rebuilding efforts. Airlink supports diverse and specialized nonprofits like Fuel Relief Fund, ensuring critical resources like fuel are available when they’re needed most. Our donors play a vital role in this mission, helping us connect essential services to communities in need. We are still responding to both Hurricanes Milton and Helene! Help us get more responders on the ground for long-term recovery: https://lnkd.in/dy8kFfS A special thanks to JetBlue for sponsoring Matt's flight! 💙 Thank you Matt Maderos for #FuelingRecovery. #DisasterResponse #HurricaneMilton #CommunitySupport #DisasterRelief

Our hearts go out to everyone across #Spain, especially those in Valencia, Andalucía, Castilla la Mancha, and Murcia, as they cope with the devastating impact of the floods. Tragically, over 200 lives have been lost. Given that there has been no call for international assistance and this situation will be locally led, Airlink does not have plans to launch a response. However, we are closely monitoring the situation. We encourage you to stay updated via local organizations like the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies - IFRC. Since Tuesday, it has carried out more than 3,500 interventions to distribute essential relief items.
Flash floods have devastated communities in Spain, washing away homes and livelihoods, blocking roads and destroying infrastructure. The Spanish Red Cross is on the ground in the hardest hit regions of Valencia, Andalucía, Castilla la Mancha and Murcia, providing support to those in need.

MONITORING: Airlink is closely tracking Typhoon Kong-rey, also known as Typhoon Leon in the Philippines, which has intensified to super-typhoon strength today. It is expected to make landfall in Taiwan early Thursday morning local time as the equivalent of a Category 4 hurricane, bringing heavy rain and strong winds. The storm’s outer bands are already impacting Luzon in the Philippines, worsening damage in an area still recovering from last week's Tropical Storm Trami and last month's Typhoon Yagi. We are coordinating with our NGO partners in the region to assess humanitarian needs and will provide updates as the situation develops. #TyphoonKongRey

🚛 Meet Bill from ToolBank USA! 🛠️ He explains how having the right tools helps displaced individuals regain a livable situation in their homes after #HurricaneHelene. 📍 Currently in Asheville, North Carolina, Bill is on the ground distributing tools and equipment to disaster response partners. Their efforts include cleanup and rebuilding tasks such as debris clearing, tree removal, drywall removal for mold mitigation, and mucking and gutting. He’s also been assisting at a local veterans housing facility (pictured) that ToolBank helped The Home Depot Foundation remodel just a month ago. Tragically, it has now been damaged, leaving all the veterans displaced. Thank you, William Hess (MSA) (MPP) for your tremendous work. We’re proud to support you and ToolBank volunteers with the help of Airlink’s donors. ✈️
