Last week, our team in Sydney proudly participated in the Spirit to Cure walk for the fourth year in a row, a 21km walk aiming to raise money for cancer research, support and prevention. The walk not only brings together participants from various backgrounds but also fosters a sense of community and shared purpose. Since its inception, the program has raised $5.6 million for Australia cancer patients and their families. I am so impressed with the Employee Experience team, led by Gloria T. Chen & Kenneth Imo. The whole organization puts so much heart, soul and energy into creating a culture where you can bring your authentic self (best and on some days not so best) to do your best work with people you respect and admire because they respect and admire you. So the question before us is "What does belonging mean to you?" To me its about dignity, agency, self-possession and sovereignty. How do I be myself, without fear of expression and encourage, honor you, to be your authentic self without fear, in fact honor and encourage your self expression. How do we co-sovereign together - like a dance vs a power struggle? Not easy, but I believe so worth the focus, attention and investment in our selves, each other and the community. So....... "What does belonging mean to you - REALLY?"
