📣 Portland knows how to throw a party! With our 75th anniversary fast approaching, we hosted an epic celebration at our North America HQ with over 4,300 employees, family, and friends. John Miller, NAM President, took the stage to welcome guests, talk about the brand’s impact on sport, and introduce the MC for the evening, Ms. Basketball, who hyped up the crowd ahead of a fun-filled night. The evening was headlined by performances from Portland’s own DJ Dontā, singer METTE, and indie rock band Local Natives. The celebration ended with a surprise appearance from iconic longtime partner, Run-D.M.C., who performed classic songs like ‘My Adidas’ and ‘It’s Tricky’ to close out the festivities. Welcome to our crib 🏠 Located in the heart of Paris, the adidas House welcomes athletes, partners, media, and content creators as we celebrate the ultimate festival of sport. 💪 To provide only the best for the athletes, the space includes our Athlete Servicing Lab and Center of Excellence. Here, athletes can benefit from therapies for recovery, body scans and measurements, and an onsite medical team to take care of their daily needs. 💆♂️ Athletes will also have exclusive access to our Look Good, Feel Good area, where our partner Coty will provide additional care and beauty services. 🏟️ A hospitality area will be open to all visitors, including a Sports Bar, Calm Zone, Entertainment area, and a mini adidas Arena – a place for guests to watch panel discussions and all the sports and athlete celebrations. 🏙️ But the pièce de résistance has to be on the 7th floor, the adidas House terrace. Serving as a content and media creation space, the terrace offers a panoramic view overlooking Paris and the Eiffel Tower. 😎 We kicked things off with an opening party that included Zinedine Zidane, Pharrell, Ronisia, Gabriel Moses, Garbiñe Muguruza, Pusha T, Thierry Omeyer, Daqui, Djibril Cissé, Caro Daur, Mata, Mike Maignan, Jo W. Ready to take a look at our second-quarter results? 👇 Currency-neutral sales are up 11%, and we're pleased to see strong and increased interest in our brand and products, which is reflected in the 16% growth for the underlying adidas business in Q2 and in growth across all channels and all markets. Our operating profits amounted to € 346 million compared to € 176 million in the prior-year period. Given the improved business in Q2, we continue to raise our expectations. We are now guiding for a full-year revenue increase in the high single digits and an operating profit of around € 1.0 billion.
