From June-August 2024, I had the privilege of completing a summer internship with Advancing Beyond the Spectrum, working as a behavioral therapist with children diagnosed with autism. This experience was truly meaningful, and it has inspired me to seriously consider pursuing a career in behavioral therapy in the future. A special shoutout to Kimberly Courrau, my site supervisor and the MS, BCBA, and LBA CEO of the company, for her incredible guidance and leadership. I would also like to thank Jane O'Keefe, a BCBA, for giving me the opportunity to showcase my skills and for helping me see areas where I can grow—not only as a therapist but also as a leader. I've met some amazing individuals during my time there, people who have become lifelong friends. I couldn't be more blessed for this opportunity and the positive impact it has had on me.
