A lo largo de la historia, han existido grandes maestros que han dominado estos elementos por medio de sus obras de arte. Por eso, antes de disparar con un propósito, es fundamental encontrar aquello que nos hace sensibles a la imagen, ya sea desde un cuadro, una escultura, una instalación, etc.

During a travel assignment in the mountains, I planned to capture a serene village at sunrise. Despite meticulous planning, I arrived at the viewpoint to find it enveloped in dense fog, obscuring the sunrise. Frustrated, I decided to explore and adapt. As the fog began to lift, I captured ethereal, mystical shots of the village emerging from the mist. This experience taught me the importance of flexibility and embracing unpredictable conditions, often leading to unique and beautiful outcomes.

Pour ma part, j'expose souvent mes photos en galerie afin de faire découvrir mon travail au plus grand nombre. Your style comes from your experience with photography as well as your life experience in general. Aesthetic consistency is key for sure, but there's far more to style than that. I would also point out that living an engaged life outside of photography is just as important when it comes to discussions about developing your creativity and style. Your relationships, your environment, your interests, all contribute to your perspective and the way you reflect a subject in your finished images. When it comes to style, how you think is just as significant as what you can do.

While mastering the basics is essential, what truly sets you apart is your unique perspective. I found inspiration in photographers like [insert photographer's name], but I constantly challenged myself to capture moments in a way that reflected my own vision. This involved experimenting with different angles, lighting setups, and editing techniques to develop a signature style that resonates with me.

My style came from doing something that I loved, rather than following what other people were doing. Slightly over exposed, low aperture images resulted in my soft feminine style. Doing what you love, means that you’ll also never lose passion for what you do. Experiment, as you grow and develop.

Purpose and expressing are two factors which elevated my photography journey to become a good photographer. Passion, Technical aspects, creativity has always played a key role as we can use them as tools to create quality content. Being Real on and off feild, having a vision, having your own style and targetting your audience will take you futher and promotes an healthy journey in the industry.

There was once I time I took on every shoot that came my way even if it was out of my creative style but I quickly learned that this wasn't sustainable and if I wanted to become a respected photographer, I had to focus on one or two types of photography and have my own distinct style.

I started off without having a particular niche in mind but I eventually gravitated towards nature and wildlife and I have not stopped since. I have gone on to explore different genres but they have all been great to learn. If you ask me, I will confidently tell you that I am a photographer and I am able to capture stories based on the stories at the particular moment.

When it comes to your style, remember the checks and balances. Every photographer I've studied with, worked with, or admired had their own unique style. Find yours. That said, make sure your style doesn't overshadow what the client is looking for. It's possible that the client picked you because of your style so work to incorporate their vision as well. I had an instructor in art school who had what he was looking for in projects. When I objected that it differed from each of his students he replied, "yes, but I'm your client." That really stuck with me.

My consistency is reflected in the quality of my work. As an artistic stylist in photography, I draw on lessons from my aunt who owned a studio during my childhood. She taught me the importance of maintaining a serene heart and the ability to remain composed through any turmoil when the lens is out. I mastered business before I turned my hobby into my income. It was through this that I was able to grow my business year on year. I tell everyone what I do, all the time. This form of selling is not salesy, but Informative.

Always leave a good impression. Word of mouth is the best form of advertising in this business. Be active on social media, this is where majority of my clients come from.

Networking is essential, but do not limit it to one type of group. If you only network in the same circles, you're not networking. One thing that goes hand in hand with networking is knowing how to network like a business-person. I've met some talented photographers who don't know how to properly market or manage their business as well as mediocre photographers who were savvy business people.

I've always aimed to befriend photographers. It can be challenging to make connections in a small town where there's a prevalent attitude of exclusion, which I don't subscribe to. I'm passionate about learning from others' experiences. As a young girl, I dreamed of apprenticing with a professional. Ultimately, I supported myself and worked tirelessly to promote my content and establish my name. Additionally, I've faced setbacks in joining support groups or forums, often being rejected due to my lack of formal education in photography. I see why it may be that way in some communities as many people have also WORKED years of their lives to get where they are with schooling but some of us could not pay for it! Learning can be free.

I've always found it valuable to get constructive criticism on my work. Early on, I joined a local camera club and participated in online forums to get feedback from other photographers. This wasn't just about technical aspects, but about understanding how my photos were resonating with viewers. It helped me identify areas where I could improve my composition, lighting, and storytelling through my images. Over time, this feedback also helped me develop my own unique style – one that I'm always refining based on how people respond to my work.

Desde mi experiencia no hay nada más interesante para adentrarse en el mundo de la fotografía como el explorar, el navegar por uno y otro estilo de foto hasta encontrar donde te sientas más cómodx y así empezar con todos estos tecnicismos, en todo el trayecto de describirte como fotógrafx irás desarrollando tu ojo, saber exponer, la regla de tercios, crear una buena composición todo eso es muy importante. Success hinges on having the right people to share with. Some advice may not be universally applicable, as it greatly depends on the context. In smaller towns, networking with the right individuals is crucial to land the perfect gig, especially were social standing dictates professional opportunities. Sharing your work is vital, and in my experience, changing my business name significantly impacted my client inflow. Additionally, there's been a surge in photography enthusiasts securing gigs, making it quite competitive. Marketing and sharing your work becomes exceedingly challenging without platforms like Facebook or other media outlets I use.

The world of photography is constantly evolving, with new techniques and technologies emerging all the time. I make it a point to stay up-to-date by reading photography magazines, attending workshops, and watching online tutorials. This not only helps me improve my technical skills and explore new creative possibilities, but also ensures that my work stays fresh and relevant. There's always something new to learn in photography, and staying curious and engaged has been key to my growth as an artist.

Be consistent. In the way you prepare for a session. In the deliverables you create. In the overall experience you provide clients. In the way you put processes and systems in place to keep the machine moving forward. In the way you communicate your value through online content. It’s that simple…and its that hard. But the juice is worth the squeeze.

Be unapologetically YOU. Don’t fall into trends, or just follow and replicate styles that happen to be popular at a given time. Put your individual spin on your work! That’s the point of working within a creative industry like photography, isn’t it? Photography, like all art, is subjective. Don’t be afraid to take risks, try new ideas, and move away from your comfort zone!

I have been surprised at the number of very good photographers who are looking for a perfect " paper print "image" By far photos are now used on digital media. Consideration should be given to how the images appear on Tablets and iPhones etc ( Many with varying screen brightness and colours ) The photo of that pizza you order by iPhone.Has to be good on digital.

Beyond the standard ways of gaining respect in the photography industry, like making beautiful work with some element of your personality or “soul” in it, one of the biggest things that goes unsaid but goes the farthest is treating people well. No matter how talented and creative you are, people won’t want to work with you again and again if you’re not someone worth being around. That comes down to kindness, humility, helping others, not gatekeeping and treating those around you with respect.
