How to use PageWaitForFunctionOptions class of Microsoft.Playwright package

Using ideas from comments on my answer I was able to accomplish the goal. I ended up passing a cancellation token to a Task.Delay(30000, token). Then if I got the data I wanted and set the result value, I just cancelled the token.

Playwright for .NET discourages using xunit see here. Also the playwright.config file does only work for Node.js.

I'd recommend to set the DEBUG=pw:api env var to get more logs. Most likely your site is not reachable or hangs.

Using a selector that finds a list of locators in Playwright is exactly the same as calling .FindElements() in selenium, except that Playwright does not have a specifically named method like .FindLocators().

Playwright - a selector that matches multiple elements returns a list of locators, which you then iterate over:

Selenium - FindElements returns a list of elements that you have to iterate over.

What I've done is add a runsettings file to visual studio called, for example, test.runsettings with the following content:

  </RunConfiguration>

Then, as long as VS chooses that runsettings file (see Test > Configure Run Settings in the menu) you should start getting HEADED mode

The error came from me not correctly understanding Docker stages. Here a fixed Dockerfile, where I installed Playwright in the base stage:
