01 Jan - 30 Nov 2024Wuhan, China
Background of the Event
The International Remote Sensing Image Intelligent Processing Algorithm Contest (RSIIPAC) is a series event organized by Information Science Department of National Nature Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and Wuhan University. It aims to promote the development of remote sensing image intelligent processing algorithm. The contest will be held every year. The international track of the contest is initialized in 2023, and is planned to start to call for participating in early Nov. 2023 and present the final outcomes, i.e., the awards to the winners in Nov. 2024 in the ISPRS TCIII Midterm Symposium in the Belém, Brazil.
In the contest, participants are encouraged to develop advanced algorithms, by combining remote sensing and artificial intelligence technologies. The results of the contest, after further developed, can be used to meet challenges such as environment monitoring, land planning, disaster risk reduction, and development of emerging industries.
The 2022 RSIIPAC has been co-sponsored by ISPRS and successfully organized. This year’s topic is the Fine-grained Forest Scene Segmentation as the international track. The LuoJiaSET, a large-scale diversified remote sensing image sample database developed by Wuhan University, will be shared to participants for the contest. More tracks will be open to international participants in the future.
