The main goal of ISDEGO is to integrate the principles of SDG11 - Make cities and rural areas inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable - into all key bachelors disciplines in the transport and information area in UA&MD universities, which will change educational trajectories, prepare leaders with new way thinking and will allow graduates to become more employable in the labour market.
Planned activities and results: Based on European experience, the new topics/modules and competencies and new forms of learning will be developed.
- Curriculum Evaluation System (CES) for evaluating bachelor's programs by associated partners will be made. CES will contain at least 7 criteria and identify missing components for the implementation of the SDG11 principles, eliminate the mismatch between the employers' requirements and Universities offer.
- Each PC in cooperation with the EU partners develop 2 Micro-Credentials in line with the developed Micro-Credential concept. These fulfil labour market needs and support the societal mission of education of the university in respective regions.
- Each PC university will open Sustainable Urban Transport Laboratory (SUTLab), 6 in total.
Special attention will be paid to sufficiently deep information and communication technologies knowledge, taking into account the SDGs integration.
SUTLab guide will be developed, 120 pages and will be available on the project website.
Project publications will be made by partner from UA&MD Universities:
Edition of the ISDEGO materials for modules and topics / updated curricula and syllabuses of disciplines (100 copies);
Image Booklet of the ISDEGO project (300 copies);
Project leaflets (500 copies);
Project Conferences Proceedings (200 copies).
The target groups benefiting from the project in the short term are students and teachers: and in the long term - сity - forming organizations, municipalities, business sector and population of cities and rural areas.
Stakeholders’ Workshops Marathon: "Harmonizing Education and the Labour Market – New Competencies for Sustainable Urban Development"
We invite educators, government representatives, employers, stakeholders, and experts in the field of urban transport to participate in a series of online stakeholder workshops. The events aim to define key competencies needed for bachelor’s programmes in transport studies, aligned with sustainability challenges and labour market needs.
