Here are some of the most loved shows of the channel

CID

One of the longest running shows on Indian television, the show's pilot episode had premiered in 1997. Yep, we said WOW too.

CID stars Shivaji Satam (ACP Pradyuman), Aditya Srivastava (Senior Inspector Abhijeet), and Dayanand Shetty (Inspector Daya) in pivotal roles. The trio, along with a couple of other members from their team get together to solve crimes.

The show's longevity is proof enough how much the viewers enjoy it.

Crime Patrol

Crime Patrol had premiered on Sony in 2003, and like CID, is one of the longest running shows of Indian TV.

A reality TV series that focuses on the crimes perpetrated on human lives, the show features Anoop Soni as its prime host. Crime Patrol is surprisingly quite popular with the youth as well.

Aahat

One of the most popular shows to have hit the small screen, Aahat is primarily a horror show and follows an episodic format. The show had premiered in 1995, and it concluded its final season last year.

Stars like Mandira Bedi, Ashutosh Rana, and Shivaji Satam have featured on the show.

Indian Idol

The beloved singing reality show first aired on Sony in 2004. And now it is all set to make a comeback to the small screen again.

The first season of the show was judged by Sonu Nigam, Farah Khan, and Anu Malik. Abhijeet Sawant from Mumbai was the first winner of the reality show.

Boogie Woogie

The dance reality show first hit our living rooms in 1996. The show featured famous personalities like Javed Jaffrey and Ravi Behl. While Javed and Ravi were the judges of the show, Javed's brother Naved Jaffrey, who also directed and produced the show, hosted Boogie Woogie.

While CID and Crime Patrol are still pretty much a part of the Indian television scene, we certainly miss watching Aahat, Indian Idol, and Boogie Woogie.

Please return to the TV screen, people. We miss your dose of entertainment.

Oh, and also, Happy 21st Sony!
