The Kia Syros prices will be announced on February 1.
Kia India will open bookings for its new sub-4 metre compact SUV, the Syros, at 12 AM tonight. While the vehicle can be booked via the carmaker's official website at midnight, dealerships will start accepting bookings from tomorrow onwards.
The booking amount has been set at Rs 25,000. The Kia Syros prices will be announced on February 1, with deliveries set to commence from the middle of the month. We expect the compact SUV to be priced between Rs 9 lakh and Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom).
Among rivals of the Kia Syros are Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Skoda Kylaq and Mahindra XUV 3XO.
The Kia Syros has two engine options -- Smartstream 1.0-litre T-GDi petrol (120PS/172Nm) and 1.5-litre CRDi VGT diesel (116PS/250Nm) -- both from the Kia Sonet. The transmission options include 6-speed MT and 7-speed DCT with petrol unit and 6-speed MT And 6-speed AT with diesel unit.
Built on the reinforced K1 platform, the Kia Syros showcases 'Opposites United' philosophy of the carmaker. It gets features like LED lighting (headlamps, taillamps and DRLs), 17-inch crystal cut alloys, flush door handles and puddle lamps with Kia logo projection.
Inside the cabin, you get first and second-row ventilated seats, 30-inch trinity panoramic display panel, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car navigation cockpit, alloy pedals, 64 colour ambient mood lighting, four-way powered driver seat, Harman Kardon eight-speaker sound system, wireless charger and dual-pane panoramic sunroof.
The Kia Syros offers ADAS Level 2 with 16 autonomous features. It also gets 20 standard safety features.
