Interview: Michael Healy-Rae is holding firm to his ‘Kerry, Kerry, Kerry’ mantra, but from inside the tent now

Every second counts as the new junior minister settles into his office at Agriculture House – and immediately makes himself right at home

It’s the first day of Michael Healy-Rae’s new job at Agriculture House on Kildare Street, and dawn has not yet broken. The building is largely empty, apart from security staff, the Kerry TD and his son and staffer councillor Jackie Healy-Rae Jr.

In their new office, Morning Ireland is on the TV and local radio plays from a laptop. The Healy-Rae crew were up late the night before, moving into their new home.
