Ekaj (2015)
Loneliness
Ekaj's drama, that he will never fullfill his father's stereotype takes him on a lonely dangerous journey... mixing up with the wrong people more times than not, let him feeling hopeless. However, finding friendship along the way gives this character some hope. Realistic, it feels like I'm watching someone's life from a little window. Well made. If you want to see a good independent film, give it a try!
Dog Park (2017)
Charming indie romantic comedy:
Dog Park was a very sweet movie. The funny story of a geeky sweet nature guy trying to keep his self-centered/user girlfriend looking after her dog while she's on vacation with someone else
and then things get complicated!
Good cinematography, amazing music (70's vibe) and a diverse cast
it a charming rom-com indie worth your time and money. I felt Jade Jenise Dixon was very convincing as "Jasmine" one the main leads and; Tennyson Shanahan as "Nick" did a great job (reminded me of Zach Woods in Silicon Valley).
I definitely enjoyed watching this Film and totally recommend it. Great job!
Diamonds to Dust A film about Legend Jayne Mansfield (2014)
The tragic story of Jayne Mansfield's life
This independent low budget film is an interesting and touching tells of Jayne Mansfield's life, the voluptuous bombshell that tragically died too young. It shows the typical cope mechanism of some Hollywood stars of that era; alcoholism, pill taking, drugs and extra-marital affairs to alleviate the pressures of packed work schedule to make a living for the entire family. Very creative and entertaining. I enjoyed it very much.
Fools (2016)
Fools is a sweet story about two odd ball characters
Fools is a sweet story about two odd ball characters that meet by chance and quickly develop a strong enough attraction to live together in an unusual way. They create a fantasy life that's crushed by reality and everything starts to crumble
The two leads actors Michael Szeles (Sam) and Mary Cross (Susan) have great chemistry and tell the story well. It's a heart-warming flick you'll enjoy. Recommend it!
The Eve (2015)
Excellent movie for Halloween!
The Eve is a super spooky thriller with lots of suspense that keeps you involved and watching. I jumped out of my seat few times.
The story was executed well, giving you just the right amount of suspense. The acting was very believable, and the characters were well casted. The cinematography was stylistic, and added to the creepy undertone of the movie.
Highly recommend.
