At first it may seem like another Martin Lawrence cop movie... and well it is but with a good plot to it. The race card seems to be his thing in this movie but it adds to the jokes and laughter. This is one Martin Lawrence movie that should be seen and heard.
People seem to get an image that Stacy Collins is stupid for putting up with her abusive boyfriend but if you watch closely you see that he has brainwashed her into thinking that she is wrong and that he loves her no matter what. You might also say that the beginning gives away the end. Well it does but the flashback is used to show the effects that an abusive relationship can do to the people involved in the relationship and the families of the couple. The sad thing is that this is a true story.
