  • Really Depends What Kind of TV You Like

If you like watching shows where you dislike the personalities of the "stars" then you may like this. Personally, they came across as people I couldn't stand trying to have a conversation with, and for that reason, the show isn't enjoyable to watch.

Real estate is just the backdrop to a show about personalities whose names you'd forget except for the producer's need to repeatedly flash their named on the screen - but ultimately, they're memorable only because they're obnoxious and self-centered and seemingly proud of both of these character flaws.

    This one is worth skipping.

  • Amazing

I recently saw this film at the Waterfront Film Festival in Michigan and I can say it's one of the best documentaries I've ever seen.

Narrated by Morgan Freeman, it follows the annual journey that penguins and their mates endure to bring a newborn penguin into the world. This film has some of the most amazing footage I've ever see in a documentary ... including underwater footage beneath the ice of penguins feeding and being fed on. Footage so amazing that I heard one viewer saying how it must have been CGI as he left the venue.

If you have any interest in nature, penguins, or just want to see a touching story of the amazing journey that penguins make simply to perpetuate their breed, definitely check this film out in theatres. It's a masterpiece.

  • Movie of the Year? I think Not.

For the life of me, I can't see how this film EVER was suggested as a candidate for "Movie of the Year". Watching it felt like watching 18 stories that were loosely connected, but not so much that some of them could be dropped without losing anything. The director seemed to selectively choose which stories to bring closure to, and which to leave dangling. By the end, I felt like the 2+ hours I'd spent watching the movie had been wasted. Furthermore, there was little or no music to add to the film ... a major oversight in my opinion.

If you're into pointless story-lines, non-existent audio, and unresolved plots ... maybe you'll like this film ... but I found it to be a complete waste of time and emphatically recommend you look elsewhere for something worth watching.
