Christian Morales first conceived the character/stage play Kid Maravilla aka Wonderboy the New York City Urban Bachatero under the title, "Kid Maravilla: Sex, Drugs, Politics, Love, Bachata, Washington Heights, and Maybe More..." whom wrote it in one night; one day before the submission deadline to The Emerging Writers Group at THE PUBLIC THEATER 2011. The play was declined and reject; Christian was not accepted into the Emerging Writers Group at THE PUBLIC THEATER. The play later was accepted to the OFF-BROADWAY festival called THE ONE FESTIVAL at PRTT/Teatro Circulo for a successful run and thereafter in 2016 as well in a rebooted version retitled NEX1:KIDMARAVILLA."
