The most interesting, appealing and funniest video from the supergroup Traveling Wilburys, here we have a lot more going on than just
a band presenting their act and their great song (a tribute to classic rock and the crazed dances thematic) but we also have the presence of
countless stars to show us how fun and crazy the "Wilbury Twist" is danced. One of the most catchiest songs of theirs, and it comes with a
great sense of humor; the film, music and TV stars appearances make it more memorable.
Harrison, Dylan, Petty, Lynne and Jim Keltner (the band) rock our world with their voices and sounds, as John Candy, Eric Idle, Cheech
Marin, Woody Harrelson, Whoopi Goldberg, Jimmy Nail, the duo Milli Vanilli and the Savage family (Ben, Fred and Kala) are presented making
dance moves that are described in the song, either acting in some scenario or just appearing in front of a black background. They're all
having fun and a great time, a perfect combination to the random descriptions about a phenomenal crazed twist. The bits revolving on the late
John Candy performing the opening lines of the song - hand upon the head, foot up in the air and moving around with his pants down - as Eric Idle
plays his dedicated vallet, are hilarious to watch; or Cheech being blindfolded and fooled by his friends inside the room.
Everything works perfectly in this piece: the acting, the humor, the music (one of their most fun and exciting tracks, always a pleasure to
hear) and the innocent charm of its presentation. Through a great sense of simplicity, old-school humor where the moments and skits are all
revolving on confusing acts, the video amuses audiences without problems. 10/10.
