- TriviaMuch of Paul Thomas Anderson's filming equipment was caught up in customs at the airport, and he was forced to use the small camcorder in his bag and his producer's drone for filming all of his shots. Anderson would reference this in his acceptance speech at the 2015 Independent Spirit Awards, when he told the audience not to patronize the event's sponsor, American Airlines, because they will "lose your fucking luggage. I'm serious! It happened to me."

You only appreciate your culture once you leave your town
Not an objective review but my feelings towards this movie:
Grew up in Jodhpur around the folk music and the surroundings shown in the movie. I wasn't the biggest fan of the folk music when I used to live in my hometown. Nor was I impressed by the congested and narrow roads of the city. Most of my consumption (entertainment wise) came from the west. Be it literature, music, or movies. I barely cared for my roots.
Now that I have completely shifted away from my hometown, there is very little of my roots left. It's absurd how someone from thousand miles away from your hometown makes you appreciate your roots. Thanks PTA.
