Inspector Leach has a second murder to deal with, that of Mr Treves. The Inspector has to battle his personal demons to unmask the killer. Clues point strongly towards. Audrey being the killer.
It's been a solid adaptation, compared to other adaptations it's a little bit flat, compared to other TV dramas it's a cut above, so on that basis I'd say it's been very watchable.
It's a good conclusion, it's been a real slow burner, but this final episode, and the conclusion of it in particular was very well done. I liked the way the killer detailed exactly why, it was accurate from the book.
I'll applaud the visuals once again, it's been the drama's high point from start to finish.
In this final episode, I'm going to highlight the performance of Matthew Rhys, he's been relatively quiet throughout, but in this final installment be stands out, Inspector Leach became very interesting.
7/10.

After the second death Inspector Leach finally comes out of his rut and begins to uncover one mystery after another. In fact he might work things out just in time to realise that he is being played and prevent another murder.
The third and final instalment turns into a full on police procedural. The stubbled, solemn Inspector Leach has been a more interesting character than most throughout and is now finally allowed to shine as he pieces things together, only to tear them apart again and start over and over until finally reaching the right conclusion. Unfortunately the intended third victim is not as sympathetic as in other versions of this story and their angry outburst at their would be murderer left me rather cold. As half the motive has been done away with the solution feels a little empty.
In the end all remaining characters leave Gull's Point in pairs, some more well suited than others and I finish it with a little disappointment. This is one of my favourite Christie stories and I am not convinced the extra runtime was really used to the advantage of the adaptation. Maybe instead of working in a sex scene on the stairs and an illegitimate offspring we could've stuck with the actual motive? Just a thought. Nevertheless this is a solid, beautifully shot adaptation of a very good book.

I finished it.
Waste of time.
They ruined one of Agatha's best stories.
They ducked its life out.
They left its corpse hanging and called it beautiful.
It is not.
They dropped silly sentences that sounded like other books "I'm going to take the Blue Train and the Orient Express", as if that's a clever addition.
They lost all the heart and soul that made the twist at the end so delightful.
Why kill classics?
And if you're going to kill them, admit it up front. Name it something else.
Come up with your own trashy ideas and give them their own names. Don't pretend you know what you're doing.
Please. Stop.
