Hold at All Costs: The Story of the Battle of Outpost Harry

I like everything about this documentary on a largely forgotten war that finally became "hidden" between WWII and the Vietnam conflicts, but which cost in excess of 33,000 US soldiers, plus countless Koreans, Chinese, and even Greek soldiers, the latter serving under the aegis of the United Nations.

Just as sad as all the loss of life, the fact that the US Government failed to honor many servicemen who delivered on their mission to hold Outpost Harry and other crucial battle grounds in order to prevent communist overtaking South Korea. It shows the derelict rubble that Seoul was in 1953, and what had become by 2010, whereas North Korea has seen hunger levels rise under merciless communist dictatorships.

Though I am neither American nor Korean, Chinese or Greek, my gratitude and admiration for their willingness to make the ultimate sacrifice or endure mutilation and bear the mental scars of war to preserve freedom. It is a sad major step back that 70 years later Russia has decided to try to retake Ukraine - war is never a solution, but it seems that mankind is too quick to forget and overlook lessons of the past.
