Choose to Live

This show bears the title of Star Trek, but the characters are nothing like those I've loved from other trek series. They're all either emotional wrecks, or painfully one dimensional. That alone makes watching this series painful enough, but the story doesn't help at all either. So far in the future and with a wealth of new technologies and species, we spend most of the story hunting down some new mystery that yet again threatens the whole galaxy. There's hardly any attention given to the impacts of a new dilithium supply in the galaxy, and the reemergence of the federation acts as little more than a back drop to growingly repetitive cathartic moments.
