Nikki Rae Hallow, was born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Her mother, a performer and children's educator, and her father, a master tradesman, eventually moved to a farm near Athabasca, Alberta. Growing up in rural Alberta, Nikki and her three older brothers found various ways to entertain themselves, including learning different trades from their father, and improvising at home with their mother. Nikki had intended to become an actor at a young age, and after being mentored by her high school drama teacher, decided to pursue acting as her career. Nikki attended the University of Alberta's Bachelor of Fine Arts Acting program and graduated with Distinction. Since graduating, Nikki has worked across the world as a professional actor (in film and on-stage), comedian, voiceover actor, improviser, writer, educator/instructor, and stunt person. Nikki is one of the five members of the internationally-acclaimed sketch comedy and improvisation troupe, Marv n' Berry and continues to create, perform and tour internationally with the four other company members regularly.
