Composer, session musician and conductor, Philippe Jakko, is an award-winning musician. He has created music for ballet, theatre, film and has had two number 1 singles in the French and European pop charts.
Philippe Jakko scored films for director Valerie Donzelli , Julie Delpy, Rodolphe Tissot, or Michel Boujenah in France, Dominic Burns , Helier B Thomas in the Uk, Anders Banke in Sweden, Phil Allocco and Frederic Duchau in the Usa. He won the Best Score awards at the Jerry Goldsmith Awards (Spain 2015) and at Cinema family Festival of Quebec (Canada 2017). He was nominated several times for Best Feature Film Score ( Jerry Goldsmith Awards, London Sounds+Music Awards, Festival de la fiction Tv).
Philippe Jakko attended Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon,and music research centre, Ircam/Paris. He attended courses and masterclasses with Pierre Boulez, Pascal Dusapin, Philippe Manoury, Francois Bernard Mache. His first credits were as a ballet composer and song composer for the music industry ( TF1, Warner, Universal music, Sony Music) before being approached to score feature films in France and the UK.
Philippe has a remarkable ear for melody and is able to capture mood and help directors realise their creative vision through his music.
