Robert was raised in Seaford, New York by two wonderful parents. The eldest of three, he attended the State University of New York in Fredonia where he was an active member of WNYF Television Production and fell in love with writing, directing, editing and producing scripted drama. Post Fredonia he worked at ABC News in New York, starting from filling order requests in the tape library at 125 West End Avenue, to working alongside Carole Simpson and Peter Jennings at World News Tonight as a Desk and Production Assistant. It was also there that Robert participated in the live news coverage of September 11th, and was the recipient of the George Foster Peabody Award for his assistance on the day. In 2005, Robert left ABC and attended the American Film Institute with a concentration in Editing. He trained under the amazing mentorship of Philip Linson, David C. Cook, Farrel Levy and Donn Cambern, editing two short films, "Niña Quebrada" and "Multiple Choice" as his thesis. Post graduation, Robert worked for New Wave Entertainment, Trailer Park and Herzog & Company, assisting and eventually editing Marketing Featurettes and Special Features. In 2019, Robert left marketing to become an assistant for scripted television, joining IATSE / the Motion Picture Editors Guild, and once again focusing on the goal of becoming a scripted picture editor.
