On Tuesday, the event’s organizers announced that the annual fest — held in Texas since 2010 — will move to the Philly area for the very first time. Bob Dylan is among the Independence Day concert’s performers.

Unstoppable album releaser Willie Nelson will drop yet another new LP with the release of A Beautiful Time. The record arrives April 29 — Nelson’s 89th birthday.
Willie previews the record with the first track “I’ll Love You Till the Day I Die,” a song written by Chris Stapleton and Rodney Crowell. It’s a dusty, harmonica-accented song about never-ending affection born from a brief encounter, and Willie sells it as if he’s lived it himself. The Red Headed Stranger debuted the song with an accompanying lyric video featuring...

Willie Nelson learned how to write songs from listening to Hank Williams, Bob Wills, and more. But one person, above all, taught him how to sing: Frank Sinatra. And, on February 26th, Nelson will release That’s Life, a new collection of Sinatra covers.
That’s Life digs a little deeper than his previous covers album, My Way; in addition to hits like the title track and “I’ve Got You Under My Skin,” he includes lesser-known classics like “Just in Time” and “The Lonesome Road” from 1959.
“I learned a lot about phrasing listening to Frank,...

Shenandoah, the late Eighties and early Nineties country band known for hits like “The Church on Cumberland Road” and “Sunday in the South,” will release their new album Every Road on November 13th via Foundry Records. It’s a collaborative project, pairing the group with contemporary stars like Blake Shelton, Dierks Bentley, Brad Paisley, Zac Brown Band, and Ashley McBryde.

It will likely come as no surprise that, 40 years after the release of his classic album of standards “Stardust,” Willie Nelson will be releasing another standards-filled new collection, this one devoted to the repertoire of Frank Sinatra.
“Sinatra and I were very good friends,” Nelson says by way of explanation. “He was my favorite singer, and he had written one time in an article that I was his favorite singer, so we kinda kicked it off good together, and we worked a few shows together, did a couple of albums together, and a video. He was just a buddy.”
Nelson expects that the Sinatra project, titled “My Way,” will be released on the heels of “Last Man Standing,” his new Legacy Recordings album, out today (April 27), just ahead of his 85th birthday. Buddy Cannon, who has produced most of the singer-songwriter’s recent records, recorded the horn- and string-laden backing...

Climb aboard, y'all. Who wouldn't want to join Kenny Chesney on his wholesome hipster school bus for a ride through the desert? With peace-love-music images that harken to the freedom of the 1960s and an updated all-American bent, Chesney, 46, is set to release his latest record, The Big Revival, on Sept. 23 - and his hippie fun bus plays a central role. "I wanted an album cover that was surprising … Not what people expect, but that also suggests anything is possible," Chesney told Billboard of the concept. "That no matter where you are in your life, how tired or lost or demoralized,...
