Jeremy Guy is an award winning director and cinematographer living in Los Angeles. His work includes a wide variety of projects including narrative feature films, major television shows, and independent documentaries.
Many of these projects have played at prestigious film festivals including the Cinequest Film Festival, the Dallas International Film Festival, the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, the Palm Springs International Film Festival, and countless others around the world. Several projects have also won major awards, such as the documentary he shot, Beyond All Boundaries, which has won six Best Film awards and can be seen on Netflix and television around the world. Other award winning projects include Weak Species, which Jeremy shot, that won four Best Film awards, Greatest Hits, which Jeremy directed, winner of the 2Change Films filmmaking competition, and Perspectives, which Jeremy directed, that the Santa Barbara Independent called a "perfect film." Jeremy also works a great deal in the television world and recently was the director of photography of a ten episode series for the NBC Sports network called Nock Out.
In March 2018, Jeremy had the World Premiere of the feature documentary, Purdah, at the Cinequest Film Festival. Purdah follows a young woman in India who recently removed her burka for the first time to pursue her dream of becoming one of the only Muslim women to play cricket professionally in all of Mumbai. Jeremy directed, produced, and shot the film, and is taking Purdah around the world to major film festivals. Purdah has recently been called "inspirational," a "must-see," and "a real-life Bend It Like Beckham."
Jeremy graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara Film Studies Program with Highest Honors and Departmental Honors before earning his Master of Fine Arts from the University of Southern California in Film Production.
