Ethan Edwards Crafts a Biting Literary Duel of Confided Secrets Revealed in Razor-Sharp Two-Hander ‘Goose’
Image
Ethan Edwards’ Goose offers audiences a comforting opportunity to indulge in the unsettling power of storytelling. A pair of old college friends find themselves in a battle of will and ego as the contents of a debut novel start to resonate far too close to home. What begins as a tense but civil exchange escalates into a deliciously barbed duel, where every line carries the weight of buried resentment and the absurdity of seeing oneself refracted through someone else’s fiction. Edwards uses subtle visual cues to underscore the shifting power dynamics with camera compositions that trap the increasingly tense back and forth, belying the casual setup between his two actors. Goose is a whip-smart exploration of authorship, memory, and the uncomfortable truths we’d rather leave buried and not weaponized by supposed friends. As his film premieres on Dn, we speak to the writer/director about finding the perfect...

Emily In Paris Season 5: Here’s What We Know About Netflix’s Fashion-Forward Rom-Com Return
Image
Emily’s Caught Between Cities & Hearts Again. ( Photo Credit – Instagram )

Emily’s not done with Paris — or Rome — just yet. Netflix has officially renewed Emily in Paris for a fifth season, and oui, fans are already plotting their next fashionable binge. The production kicked off in May 2025, starting in Rome before circling back to Emily’s home turf, Paris. So while the release date hasn’t dropped, all signs point to a late 2025 or early 2026 premiere.

Creator Darren Star cleared (Via Deadline) the air: “She didn’t change her Instagram handle to Emily in Rome.” Instead, Emily in Paris Season 5 is embracing a cross-continental vibe. After Season 4 closed with Emily zipping through Rome on a Vespa with Marcello to the tune of Close To You by Gracie Abrams, fans knew the next season would bring Italian heat. But don’t worry — Emily’s iconic Parisian chaos isn’t disappearing. She...

Cannes Directors’ Fortnight: ’The President’s Cake,’ Iraq’s First Film at the Festival, Wins People’s Choice Audience Award
Image
Hailed by Variety as a “warm and heart-tugging tale,” Hasan Hadi’s “The President’s Cake,” Iraq’s first film selected for Cannes, has won the Directors’ Fortnight People’s Choice prize, the first audience award at Cannes and a Directors’ Fortnight plaudit which take into consideration any film from any part of the world.

The prestigious award builds on auspicious early major territory sales for the film, sold by Films Boutique, which bid fair for a broad international roll out.

News of the Director’s Fortnight People’s Choice prize comes as Belgian Valéry Carnoy has won a second partner prize in the Directors’ Fortnight, scooping the Sacd Coup de Cœur des Auteurs prize for “Wild Foxes,” adding to its Europa Cinemas Cannes Label for best European film at Directors’ Fortnight, announced just an hour ago. The double whammy establishes the Belgian director as a director to track.

Cannes Directors’ Fortnight: Valéry Carnoy’s ‘Wild Foxes’ Wins Best European Film Prize
Image
Belgian Valéry Carnoy’s “Wild Foxes” (“La Danse des renards”) has won this year’s Europa Cinemas Cannes Label for best European Film at the 2025 Cannes Directors’ Fortnight.

Announced Thursday by Europa Cinemas, ahead of the Directors’ Fortnight closing ceremony this afternoon, the prize is one of three at Directors’ Fortnight and awarded by one of the sidebar’s partners, given the section is non-competitive.

The section’s People’s Choice audience award and a second partner plaudit, the Sacd Prize, handed out by France’s Writers’ Guild, will be announced later today at an awards ceremony. There, French writer-director Thomas Cailley (“The Animal Kingdom”) will receive the inaugural Alpine Prize, which aims to highlight “filmmakers who dare to shatter conventions and blaze new trails in French and international cinema.”

Wild Foxes Review: Camille’s Fight for Identity
Image
Camille reigns supreme at a French sports-study boarding school, his every jab and uppercut marking him as the nation’s junior boxing champion. Yet the moment he plummets ten metres down a rocky incline, the gravity of his world shifts—muscles stiffen with phantom pain, confidence fractures and a once-tight brotherhood begins to splinter. Set against a backdrop of echoing gymnasiums and mist-shrouded woods, Wild Foxes threads high-octane fight sequences with hushed forest vignettes, creating a rhythm that echoes the push-and-pull of physical mastery and introspection.

The film’s environment recalls the focused energy found in Indian parallel-cinema classics, where the body often becomes both canvas and battleground—think Mrinal Sen’s explorations of societal constraints or the visceral realism of contemporary sports dramas like Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. Carnoy’s camera shifts from steady wide shots in the ring to handheld immediacy, mirroring Camille’s fluctuating sense of control. The forest,...

Chicago Pd gives disappointing update on Voight and Chapman's relationship
Image
Chicago Pd has never really tried to give Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) a romantic interest. The character is a workaholic who is still reeling from the death of his wife, Camille, and he has made it clear that he places importance upon his friendships and work relationships. This changed with the arrival of Ada Nina Chapman (Sara Bues) in season 12. At least, we thought it did.

Voight and Chapman had an immediate connection, and the latter admitted having feelings for Voight in the episode "The After." The pair have continued to work closely since, but there was no mention of the way they feel about each other until the season's penultimate episode, "Open Casket." Chapman broke the silence by asking Voight a simple question, and his answer was extremely telling.

Voight implied he didn't want a romance Chicago P.D. -- "Open Casket" Episode 12021 -- Pictured: (l-r) Sara Bues as Asa Chapman,...

‘Wild Foxes’ Review: Budding French Star Samuel Kircher Jabs His Way Through a Tough and Tender Debut Boxing Drama
Image
Boxing movies are a dime a dozen and have been since the birth of cinema, or at least since the talkies. It’s a genre that offers instant gratification — because what’s more visceral and entertaining than watching two people beat the hell out of each other on screen?

Bringing something original to the genre is significantly harder, which is why Belgian writer-director Valéry Carnoy deserves kudos for making his feature début, Wild Foxes (La Danse des renards), stand apart from your typical testosterone-fueled slugfest.

He stages the action within a highly special location: an elite French sports-études boarding school where teenage athletes are selected to train throughout their high school years. The public institution seems to weigh as heavily on the young fighters as all the punches they take in the ring, driving them toward acts of desperation or self-sabotage as they try to becomes pros.

Wild Foxes adds...

"I Just Love Their Chemistry": 'Chicago P.D.' Showrunner Weighs in on the Voight-Chapman Relationship
Image
Chicago P.D.is building towards a momentous Season 12 finale, with Voight (Jason Beghe) staring down the barrel as Reid (Shawn Hatosy) seems to have finally succeeded in decimating the Intelligence unit, or has he? The promo for the finale "Vows" makes it clear that Voight won't go down without a fight, and is ready to go the lengths. The unit's future might currently seem bleak, but with the finale promising to end on a festive note with the much-anticipated Burzek wedding, it raises hopes that Voight and his men will have the last laugh. One character who's fought on Voight's side in this season-long war has been Asa Nina Chapman (Sara Bues), and showrunner Gwen Sigan has recently shared more insights into the dynamic between their characters.

Season 12 has seen a subtle evolution in the Voight-Chapman dynamic, with Chapman confessing her feelings to him at some point. Her feelings remain unrequited,...

Showrunner Elwood Reid Unpacks Who Colter and Reenie’s Romantic Interests Are in 'Tracker’ Season 3
Image
Family secrets and missing people are the bread and butter of the Justin Hartley-led CBS procedural, Tracker. The beloved procedural does, however, take some time out for matters of the heart, as seen in Season 1 and in the first episodes of its sophomore season, as Hartley's Shaw reignites his relationship with Gina Picket's sister, Camille (Floriana Lima). Colter has also, throughout the show's two seasons, had a very clear, emotional connection with Fiona Rene's Reenie. While the pair are yet to explore a romance between themselves, they've been involved with others. Looking ahead to Season 3, showrunner Elwood Reid has discussed the potential direction romance takes for these two beloved characters.

Speaking with Screen Rant, Reid was quizzed regarding Colter and his lack of a partner, and if it benefits the show at this point. "I think it's hard because I don't know if people judge or not,...

‘Tracker’ Season 3 Will Begin Filming Sooner Than Anticipated
Image
The second season of Tracker ended its run this past Sunday with Colter Shaw returning home to Echo Ridge. While Justin Hartley's Colter was back in his hometown to solve a case involving missing children from across the country, the world-famous rewardist eventually stumbled upon a world-shattering discovery of his own in the season finale. The CBS procedural has already been renewed for a third season which will certainly look to unpack what the newly unraveled Shaw family secret means for Colter and his siblings. Now, we know when production begins on the new season. Shworunner Elwood Reid, in a conversation with Screen Rant, has revealed that production on Tracker Season 3 will kick off later this year, in July.

"Yeah, we will be back in two weeks," Reid said, referencing the return of the show's writers' room, "and we start filming in July. I think it's the 16th or something like that.

‘In Secret’: Elizabeth Olsen’s Movie on Infidelity and Romance With Tom Felton Was a Big Miss but the Cast Can’t Be Blamed
Image
A movie with a star-studded cast, rich literary source material, and lavish visuals sounds great on paper! In Secret had all these elements and could have been a gripping period drama about forbidden love and people’s descent into psychological ruin.

The movie is set in 1860s Paris, featuring talented artists like Elizabeth Olsen, Oscar Isaac, and Tom Felton. But somehow, despite all these ingredients, the audience found In Secret to be quite underwhelming. In the end, even the actors’ great performances couldn’t save the weak narrative.

In Secret is an erotic thriller from 2013 that went under everyone’s radar. It dives into what suppressed passion and forbidden love can lead to. The movie is adapted from Émile Zola’s novel Thérèse Raquin, and is a...

The Rookie Season 7 Finale Cliffhangers Are a Frustrating Case of Déjà vu
Image
Well, we did have some good, bad, and Oscar during this aptly titled season finale!

Oscar reappeared during The Rookie Season 7 Episode 18, finally posing more than just an unforeseen threat when he nearly killed Nolan in the desert and escaped.

The rest of the hour saw some of our favorite characters wrapped up in fun action sequences while dangling that Chenford carrot for the thousandth time.

(Disney/Mike Taing) It’s Official: Miles Is a Delightful Addition

As we know, The Rookie Season 7 introduced two new rookies, and we should’ve known that the odds of keeping both of them were slim.

But after the bizarre story arc with Seth, which resulted in that tragic conclusion, and after spending so much time with Miles, it’s a relief that he’s the one we get to keep.

Vanderpump Rules Scandoval Cheating Was Wild, but Rhobh Bombshell Still Reigns Supreme
Image
In the ever-dramatic world of Bravo, where scandal flows more freely than champagne at a reunion episode, cheating almost feels like a rite of passage, with some shaking foundations more than others. Over the years, we’ve seen many headline-worthy betrayals on Bravo- and sure, “Scandoval” from Vanderpump Rules stands out as a chaotic mess of the highest order, but there’s one bombshell from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 1 that still takes the cake for me.

While both betrayals shook their respective franchises, the latter has infamously been awarded the gold standard of Bravo betrayals. Interestingly, there is some common ground between the two. Lisa Vanderpump was a direct witness to both of these scandals, offering her distinct perspective.

Vanderpump Rules’ Scandoval: a sensational outrage

Netflix delivers more first-look photos of Emily in Paris Season 5
Image
Emily in Paris is the kind of fluffy dramedy with a lot of heart that Netflix does well. The series might have become bigger than anyone expected, but we only have ourselves to blame for that. Are some of the relationships on the show frustrating? You betcha. But they are also beautiful.

At the end of Season 4, Emily seemingly fell in love with an Italian fashionista, and she moved into a Rome apartment as she opened a new office for Agence Grateau. A lot was happening, but what else could one expect from a swinging 20-something not yet burdened by a growing family?

Emily deserves good things, too. She is a loyal friend and doesn't take herself too seriously—not yet anyway. But she also knows how to succeed in business and is beginning to make some good money. Still, we care primarily about her lost and gained loves.

Camille at an event for Emilia Pérez (2024)
The True Beauty of Being Bitten by a Tick Review: Atmospheric Tension Unfurls
Camille at an event for Emilia Pérez (2024)
Yvonne, freshly fractured by tragedy, flees the neon haze of urban life for Camille’s rustic retreat. Her arrival promises reprieve: pale linens, dew‑washed fields, whispered assurances of calm. Yet the cottage’s hush carries a weight, as if every silence conspires to tighten her chest.

This film moves in breath and pause, its tempo shaped by improvised dialogue that drifts like smoke through candlelit rooms. At first, the gentle murmur of forest winds and distant birdcalls beckon her toward ease. Then Isaac and A.J. appear—gracious hosts whose suggestions bloom into quiet demands. Each polite offer of kinship echoes like a command, their cultivated charm warping into subtle coercion.

A single tick bite becomes a dark talisman: a bruise beneath skin that pulses with creeping dread. As Yvonne scratches, her body and spirit distort in tandem, fracturing her sense of self.

Here, self‑care is ritualised into...

Emily embarked on a huge life change by moving to Rome to run the new Agence Grateau office and saying goodbye to Paris and Gabriel. Well, at least for now.

We already know that Emily in Paris season 5 begins filming in May 2025, starting first in Rome before moving to Paris to complete filming in the summer. The gears are already in motion as series star and producer Lily Collins recently shared a new behind the scenes update. The new mom shared a video featuring multiple photos of Emily's previous fashion statements as fittings begin for season 5.

Chicago Pd's track record with Voight has us worried about this character's fate
Image
Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) is a great character. He's the grizzled heart of Chicago Pd, and we're not sure the show would survive without him. That said, Voight has a bit of a King Midas in reverse thing going on. Due to his dangerous profession, the character often loses those close to him under tragic and violent circumstances. And we're worried history could repeat itself in season 12.

We aren't worried about the Iu team, as each member can handle themselves and have proven to be more than capable of bouncing back from criminal attacks. We're worried about Ada Nina Chapman (Sara Bues), who has grown increasinglt closer to Voight throughout the season. While Chapman is a rare presence in Voight's life, a potential romantic partner, she is also working next to him on a very dangerous case. She could not be more in the line of fire if she tried.

Alfie’s Brexit Banker Plotline in ‘Emily in Paris’ Is the Worst Attempt at Faux Depth
Image
Emily in Paris isn’t exactly known for nuance, but Alfie’s “Brexit banker” arc takes cringe to a whole new level. What was clearly meant to add layers to his character ends up feeling like the show’s clumsiest stab at political relevance. Instead of giving Alfie depth, the plotline screams faux sophistication like someone tossed in Brexit buzzwords hoping it’d pass for character development.

From his brooding boardroom moments to the awkward cultural tension, nothing about it lands. In a series built on fantasy and fashion, this subplot feels like a clunky spreadsheet in a couture boutique and not in a clever way.

Alfie’s Brexit banker arc? Emily in Paris goes full cringe couture

Alfie used to be the chill Brit with the dry wit. Now, he’s a moody Brexit banker with a “secret project” and vague existential dread and honestly, Emily in Paris pulled...

Razat plays Camille who was originally the girlfriend of Emily’s (Lily Collins) crush Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) and became Emily’s first friend in Paris when the American arrived in the city for her new job. After breakups, reconciliations, an engagement and false pregnancy with Gabriel, on- and off- friendship with Emily and a tumultuous romance with Sofia, Camille packed her bags and left Paris at the end of Season 4.

Image

Razat has appeared in 33 of 42 episodes of Emily in Paris, which is led by Lily Collins as the titular character, Emily Cooper, and Ashley Park as Mindy Chen. Emily in Paris was renewed for Season 5 last year, and Netflix confirmed just a few days ago plans to begin filming this summer in Rome and Paris. During a recent interview with TV Line, Emily in Paris star Camille Razat spoke about her exit from the series, citing the end of her character’s story but also the opportunity to explore new horizons:

Emily in Paris star breaks silence after exit and teases 'leaving the door open'
Image
It's been less than a week since Netflix's Emily in Paris lost one of its original main cast members, and the departing star has broken her silence about her exit from the hit series. Last week, the news arrived that Emily in Paris season 5 would be down one cast member as Camille Razat bid the romantic comedy series adieu after four seasons as a main cast member.

Deadline revealed Razat's departure from the series in their report that also confirmed filming would kick off on the highly anticipated fifth season in May 2025. No other main cast members are leaving the show, not even Lucas Bravo, whose return seemed shaky but was later confirmed. All of our other favorites will be back, but Camille has stirred her lost pot in Emily's personal life.

In an exclusive statement to TV Line, Razat said the following about her exit:

Camille Parsons
Camille Parsons and her husband, Thomas McDonald, are the only successful match from Married at First Sight Season 18.

But let’s not forget that their wedding almost didn’t happen.

Camille was cool as a cucumber after discovering she would marry a stranger in a few weeks.

However, the gravity of the situation didn’t hit her until the wedding day.

Just before her wedding, the Chicago bride got cold feet and told producers, “I really don’t know if I can do this.”

Eventually, Camille’s sister talked her off the ledge, and the wedding went off without a hitch.

But was the Season 18 bride impressed when she saw her husband for the first time?

Netflix's Horror Series Marianne Had Big Season 2 Plans Before Its Cancellation
Image
The setup of Samuel Bodin's 2019 horror TV series "Marianne" is deliciously fun. A horror author named Emma Larsimon (Victoire Du Bois) has just killed off the main character of her series of witch-based horror novels, happy to retire the series. Weirdly, one of Emma's friends, Caroline, calls her up and explains that her elderly mother has come to believe that she is possessed by Marianne, the witch from Emma's books. Indeed, Caroline takes her own life (in public) after talking about how Emma's parents are going to be taken by Marianne as well. When Emma returns to her home town, her parents soon attack her assistant Camille (Lucie Boujenah) before wandering into the woods naked, bloody runes carved in their faces.

And that's just in the first episode. The rest of the eight-episode series takes place mostly in Emma's hometown as she returns to suss out her youth and solve her personal witchy mysteries.

Camille won’t be returning to Emily In Paris Season 5? (Photo Credit – Instagram)

Big changes are on the horizon for Emily in Paris, and they start with a noticeable absence. One character, a familiar face since season one, won’t be making her stylish return.

Camille Razat, who played the artfully complex Camille, won’t be back for round five. Her exit marks a turning point, not just in the cast lineup, but in the emotional undercurrent of the show. Her absence will definitely leave a champagne-scented void despite her rocky relationship with Emily.

‘Emily in Paris’ Season 5 Set to Start Production in Paris and Rome, With Majority of Main Cast Returning
Image
Lily Collins is heading back to Paris and Rome this summer.

Season five of Netflix’s hit show, Emily in Paris, is set to begin production in May, filming in Rome first before moving back to Paris later this summer.

Series regulars Collins (Emily Cooper), Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie Grateau), Ashley Park (Mindy Chen), Lucas Bravo (Gabriel), Samuel Arnold (Julien), Bruno Gouery (Luc), William Abadie (Antoine Lambert), Lucien Laviscount (Alfie), Thalia Besson (Genevieve) and Eugenio Franceschini (Marcello) will all reprise their roles.

One former castmember notably missing from the list is Camille Razat, who played Camille in the first four seasons. However, it’s not a total surprise, as her character (spoiler!) left Paris at the end of season four after faking her pregnancy with Gabriel.

On the other hand, Bravo’s return as Gabriel may be a bit shocking, as he previously expressed that he’s been “frustrated with the direction my character is taking,...

Emily in Paris season 5 fortunately loses a character who overstayed their welcome
Image
There's some exciting news about Emily in Paris season 5 that will have fans exclaiming, "Oui, oui!" Well, depending on how you feel about a certain character who has now been revealed to be departing the series, at least in a series regular capacity. As first reported by Deadline, Camille Razat won't be back in season 5 as her trouble-making character Camille.

As much as we'll miss seeing the super-talented Razat in the series, we can't lie that the character Camille had run her course after four seasons. By the end of the fourth season, she had basically become a constant plot device meant to stir the pot and cause frustrations for Emily and Gabriel. There wasn't much left to do with her character to keep her in this world.

Camille lied to Gabriel about her pregnancy even after discovering that she was never pregnant. While she and Emily managed to bury...
