Timothy Andrew Edwards is a Los Angeles-based media composer and music producer, who has composed music for 9 feature films, including projects for Lionsgate and Trancas International Films. With over 100 television series and more than 11,000 cue sheets to his name, he also heads, composes for, and co-owns a composer collective/library known as THETEAM. Edwards is an in-demand composer and has written themes for the Daytime Emmy Award-winning show "Extra", Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip, themes for Crowne Media (Hallmark) as well as the main title for "Smart Justice: The Jayme Closs Case" hosted by abduction survivor Elizabeth Smart.
Timothy is a SESAC writer and an ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC publisher. He has also worked as a Music Supervisor for Viacom projects and on several feature films. A member of the Society of Composers and Lyricists and a former voting member of the Recording Academy, he is a key panelist at conferences and events and a frequent guest lecturer where he speaks on the art and business of media composition and music licensing. Edwards was featured in the top-selling book "Guerrilla Film Scoring: Practical Advice from Hollywood Composers" as well. He is an active member and former chair of the Production Music Association's Composer Advisory Committee as well as being the former creative director and co-founder of Move Music LLC, a high-end, music licensing company where he oversaw a roster of over 60, established composers and songwriters (sold in May 2022). Edwards has spent his entire career championing songwriters, composers, and publishers and currently teaches in and has written several courses for the Music Business program at Musicians Institute: College of Contemporary Music in Hollywood, California.
