In a post on X, the streaming service announced that Scandal is officially moving back to Netflix, and will be available on June 17. The political series aired between 2012 and 2018, and was previously available to stream on Hulu. The show stars Kerry Washington as a crisis manager who specializes in "fixing" political situations and scandals. The character was loosely based on Judy Smith, who served as George H. W. Bush's Deputy Press Secretary. Smith was also a producer on the show.

July saw many adapted stories head to screens both large and small, sourced from novels, comic books and more, and August is no different with a bevy of book adaptations on the horizon.

Last month gave us adaptations of Delia Owens’ wildly popular novel “Where the Crawdads Sing” , Mark Greaney’s spy thriller “The Gray Man” and in series form “Paper Girls” on Prime Video starring Ali Wong and Jason Mantzoukas.

August also has a slate of book adaptations landing in theaters and on streamers. Two of them came from graphic novels, and one might sound familiar to fans of George R. R. After just three seasons on Netflix, "Locke & Key" is coming to an end. On April 6, the streamer announced that the show will conclude with its upcoming third season. According to Deadline, Netflix, along with "Locke & Key" co-showrunners Carlton Cuse and Meredith Averill, had already mapped out the series for a three-season run following the breakout success from season one.

"Once we began working on the series, we felt three seasons was the ideal length to bring the story of the Locke family and their Keyhouse adventures to a satisfying conclusion," Cuse and Averill said in a statement. "As storytellers, we are grateful that we had the opportunity to tell our version of Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez's incredible story exactly the way we wanted. We're keeping the magical keys, though, for our own personal use."

Locke & Key will conclude with its upcoming third season at Netflix.

The series has been a breakout hit for Netflix, landing a third season renewal well ahead of its second season debut.

A Netflix spokesperson confirmed the news to TheWrap. The series, based on Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez’s comic books of the same name, launched on Netflix in February 2020.

Netflix’s “Locke and Key” will end after its upcoming third season, Variety has confirmed.

Based on the comic books of the same name, “Locke and Key” follows the three Locke children who, following their father’s death, move from Seattle to his family home in Massachusetts. They soon discover magical keys hidden throughout the house — appropriately called Keyhouse — that can be used to unlock secret doors. However, a demonic presence is in search of the keys as well. Season 3 of the fantasy horror series is set to release on the streamer this year.

But fans of the supernatural thriller based on the Idw comic books by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodríguez should not fret — they will get a proper conclusion since Season 3 was conceived as the show’s final chapter. In fact, I hear that, following the breakout success of Locke & Key‘s ten-episode first season, Netflix approached the series’ creative team with a plan for a three-season run consisting of a 10-episode second season and an eight-episode third season. That fit the vision of Locke & Key executive producers/co-showrunners Carlton Cuse and Meredith Averill for how to tell the story and when to wrap it.

On Monday night, NCIS star Mark Harmon ended his run as a series regular on CBS’ long-running procedural drama, with his character, Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs, opting out of a future in law enforcement.

Episode 1904, “Great Wide Open,” saw Gibbs and Special Agent Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) out in Alaska, solving a case involving a contract killer hired by a local company. In the aftermath, Gibbs informed his partner and NCIS Director Vance (Rocky Carroll) that he’d be staying out on The Last Frontier indefinitely.

Netflix has dropped the full-length trailer for Locke & Key Season 2, and it teases a lot of big moments for the family.

Dodge is still well and truly a part of the story, taking over bodies and causing a lot of mayhem for everyone concerned.

But Nina Locke has primarily been in the dark about what the kids have been getting up to, and it looks like she'll be getting some answers throughout the second season.

Nina has been none the wiser about many things, but it's clear she can't shake the feeling that more than she's being led to believe is happening.

It also begs the following question:

How will she react to everything that has happened?

Hallmark Channel announced that former “Desperate Housewives” stars James Denton and Teri Hatcher are reuniting in the upcoming original film “A Kiss Before Christmas.” The film will premiere during Hallmark Channel’s annual “Countdown to Christmas” programming event. This is the first time the pair has worked together since the “Desperate Housewives” series ended in 2012.

“A Kiss Before Christmas” follows the story of Ethan Holt (Denton), a real estate development executive and married father with two teens, who learns he’s losing out on a promotion on Christmas Eve. Netflix just released a full-length trailer for the upcoming second season of Locke & Key (you can catch it below), and it provides a glimpse at a major new character played by Kevin Durand.

The Swamp Thing and The Strain alum has been tapped as a series regular for Seasons 2 and 3 of Locke & Key. He plays Frederick Gideon, a ruthless, charismatic, and cunning British Revolutionary War Captain, who becomes a dangerous adversary for the Locke Family. Season 2 debuts Oct 22, while production wrapped last month in Toronto on Season 3.

This marks Durand’s third series collaboration with Locke & Key executive producer/co-showrunner Carlton Cuse. Durand previously starred as Vasiliy Fet, a rat exterminator-turned-vampire hunter, on Cuse’s FX drama The Strain and recurred as mercenary Martin Keamy on ABC’s Lost, on which Cuse served as co-showrunner.

HBO Max announced that Season 2 of “Love Life” will premiere Oct. 28 with its first three episodes.

Then, the second three episodes of the 10-episode season will stream on Nov. 4, with the final four concluding on Nov. 11.
