Stefania Barr is an award-winning actor, director, and musician from Park City, Utah who can next be seen in upcoming installments of Kevin Costner's Horizon: An American Saga.
She debuted in Disney Channel's, "Right on Track," as a young Courtney Enders, the character portrayed by Brie Larson. Even as a child, Stefania brought a high level of professionalism, preparation, and fervor to each role. This earned her a strong reputation and many direct bookings in pieces with challenging themes that demanded broad emotional range (such as the critically acclaimed short film "Unwind.") Today, she maintains and displays a deep commitment to character work and preparation, and brings a grounded honesty to every performance.
Throughout her diverse career she's worked with and learned from industry pillars such as Robert Pattison, Stephen Soderbergh, Chloé Zhao, Octavia Spencer, John Hawkes, Tony Hale, Kathy Bates, and numerous others.
After working with Zhao at the Sundance Institute, Barr was inspired to add directing to her skill set. She received a Bachelors in Cinema Production from Utah Valley University, with which she launched her directorial debut "Stone Cold," a chilling adaptation of an Edgar Allen Poe short. She has earned credits in nearly every on-set department, and works regularly as a commercial & music video Director and 1st AD (with national brands such as Volvo, Amazon, SharkNinja, and others).
She is a classically trained musician and composed her first original soundtrack at the age of 16, for which she won numerous "Best Score" awards at US film festivals. Barr is the front-woman of indie-alt-rock band Shrink the Giant; the band will be releasing their third original LP in 2025.
