Blowback is yet another film that begins somewhere in the midst of the story before cutting back to the beginning. In this case, the beginning is Nick playing chess with his hospitalized daughter. She needs an experimental, and expensive treatment to save her life. But a rideshare driver’s paycheck isn’t going to cover that.

Fortunately, he’s not exactly the most honest of people and knows a few people if you know what I mean. He gets a lead on some extremely valuable thumb drives being held at a local bank and decides to pull off a heist. Right from the start he makes a big mistake and involves his ex Veronica (Michele Plaia; Cloudy with a Chance of Sunshine) and her current man Jack.

Gigandet, Tom Berenger (Platoon), and Jeff Fahey (Lost) star in Black Warrant, the thriller written by D. Glase Lomond, about a semi-retired special ops assassin and a DEA agent who cross paths while trying to stop a cyber-terrorist organization threatening to launch a catastrophic attack. Saban Films will distribute in North America, UK, Ireland, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.

Premiere Entertainment Group (Peg) has struck a raft of major territory deals on EFM sales title Blowback starring former UFC champion Randy Couture from the Expendables franchise and Twilight franchise regular Cam Gigandet.

The action thriller sees Nick (Gigandet) revenge out for after he is betrayed and left for dead by Jack (Couture) and his crew during a Las Vegas heist. Louis Mandylor, Michele Plaia, Rafael Cabrera, and William McNamara round out the key cast.
