She began her career in the entertainment industry in the literary department at the legendary Paul Kohner Agency, and then in film production at 20th Century Fox and MGM, where she combined her talents of writing and promotion assisting the studio publicity departments. After interning at a Beverly Hills public relations agency representing corporate accounts such as Orange Julius and the Fairplex in Pomona, she opened her own firm.
Clients have included: Walt Disney/Buena Vista Studios (press kits and canned feature articles); The Vincent Price Art Gallery (consultant to Board of Trustees); Tim Burton Productions (pro bono consultant on Vincent Price documentary); Broeske Architects & Associates, Inc. of Orange County; Bill Haugse (award campaign for Oscar-nominated film editor of "Hoop Dreams"); Broadway actor Erik Liberman (Hal Prince's "LoveMusik"); and West Hollywood's Melrose Trading Post, nationally known as the flea market "for the sexy, hip and groovy crowd," according to the Los Angeles Times.
A lifelong movie history enthusiast, Ms. Williams is the author of "The Complete Films of Vincent Price" (Citadel Press, 1995), which The Hollywood Reporter called "an honest, often charming survey." She has scripted episodes of the popular television series, "Biography," as well as TruTV's "Anatomy of Crime," highlighting social issues such as spousal abuse, teen violence and drug addiction.
Ms. Williams is active in the Yale Alumni Association/Southern California Chapter, and her professional memberships include The Authors Guild, Inc. In addition, she is an associate (non-performing!) member of The Academy of Magical Arts, Inc., the private club housed in the famous Magic Castle in the Hollywood Hills.
