Daniel James Pike is a Canadian screenwriter, filmmaker, and actor from Windsor, Ontario, Canada. He has placed in 13 international screenwriting competitions including as a finalist in the 2022 Nashville Screenwriting Pitch Competition, a finalist in the 2023 Canada Film Fest Screenwriting Pitch Competition, Fourth place in the 2015 Canada Film Fest Screenwriting Competition, as well as the Quarterfinals of the Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting Competition in 2012. His first short film, The Acrylic (2019), has been officially selected in 12 international film festivals, including the Blood in the Snow festival in Toronto in 2019, and won two awards at the Indie Shorts Film Festival in 2019 and 2021. His latest quasi-autobiographical short film, Blue & White (2022) was a finalist for best film at the 2022 Toronto Couch Film Festival, and has been officially selected by the 2022 Full Bloom Film Festival in North Carolina, as well as a category winner at the Toronto Independent Film Festival of CIFT for Summer 2022. Daniel currently works and resides in Windsor, Ontario, Canada where he makes short films with his production company County House Pictures.
