Richard Ingber is President of Worldwide Marketing at Alcon
Entertainment, the Los Angeles-based wholly independent production
company that develops, finances, produces and markets theatrical motion
pictures for distribution by Warner Bros.
With over 20 years experience as a senior level marketing and distribution executive, serving in various marketing capacities at film studios such as Columbia Pictures, 20th Century Fox, Largo Entertainment and Walt Disney Pictures. Ingber, recently received his first producer credit on the box office success 3-D "Dolphin Tale," an Alcon Entertainment production released by Warner Bros. in 2011. Inspired by the true story of "Winter" the dolphin, "Dolphin Tale" is about a young boy who befriends an injured dolphin who lost her tail in a crab trap. Ingber brought the project to Alcon.
Prior to joining Alcon Entertainment as the Company's President of Worldwide Marketing in 2008, Ingber served as one of the industry's most prominent marketing consultants as head of his own marketing company, Richard Ingber Entertainment, wherein he worked with filmmakers and studios' marketing and distribution divisions to craft comprehensive, strategic campaigns to optimize each title's potential. RIE also included a behind the scenes creative content division, which serviced studio needs for EPK's, DVD extra content, NCM's, viral Internet videos and television specials.
It was during this time that he first came to work with Alcon Entertainment's co-founders and co-CEO's Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove. Working in conjunction with the Warner Bros. marketing department, Ingber spearheaded on Alcon's behalf the marketing campaigns for such releases as the hit romantic comedy "P.S. I Love You," starring Hilary Swank and Gerard Butler, "One Missed Call," "16 Blocks", starring Bruce Willis, "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants," "Racing Stripes," "Insomnia," starring Al Pacino, Robin Williams and Hilary Swank, and "My Dog Skip."
Since then, as Alcon's President of Worldwide Marketing, Ingber has continued to create and supervise, along with Alcon's distribution partner Warner Bros, the Company's campaigns for such hit releases as "The Blind Side," and "The Book of Eli." His work on "The Blind Side" earned him a place on Ad Age's prestigious Entertainment A-list for 2010.
