It just comes naturally for Julie Gribble. Writing, singing,
performing. But what she loves most is to inspire, to reach people with
her music. It's not uncommon for other aspiring artists to admire her
style and presence. They often ask her advice. With her mellow,
alternative rock and a twist of Americana country style, Gribble has
entranced audiences with her modern stories of life, love and
relationships. Audiences connect immediately to the unique lyrics.
They're not the same old love clichés. A native of Atlanta, Georgia,
Gribble was born with an infectious personality. Music gives her the
means to express it. She grew up writing poetry, which led to song
writing. After only a dozen guitar lessons, she combined the two. It
became her purpose.
After college, Gribble moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue her dreams. career in music and film. Julie is promoting herself the old-fashioned way, in other words, "beating the streets" to reach the public. She enjoys seeing the rewards of her hard work. Gribble's music has been featured on Lifetime movie "Dive at Clauson's Pier," popular Nickelodeon shows "Zoey 101," "Drake and Josh" and their TV movie "Drake & Josh Go to Hollywood." Guest appearances include "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" and "The Tyra Banks Show" in 2005. She received the 2005 LA Music Award for Best Adult Alternative Artist, and has been featured in Music Connection Magazine's Hot 100 unsigned bands. Her new album Echos in my Head will be released in late fall of 2006. Traveling solo to promote her current album, Gribble is touring the southeast. Julie recently performed for Muzak, LLC's corporate headquarters in Fort Mill, S.C. As a result, they have invited her to participate in their charity Noise! in September 2006. Noise! educates young, musically talented kids on the business side of music. More important than the thrill of an audience, she jumps at the opportunity to support a good cause. Julie's always there, with her guitar in hand and a smile on her face. It's not about her name in lights, it's about telling her stories and touching those along the way. And people want to listen. Gribble's southeast tour will continue through 2006, while bringing her long awaited album, Echoes in my Head to her fans in early 2007.
