A group of songwriters, singers, activists, and journalists aimed to set the record straight on Wednesday during a live panel discussion in Nashville. Dubbed “Act III: A Conversation Around ‘Three Chords and the Actual Truth,’” the event was presented by the Black Music Action Coalition and the org’s co-founder, president, and CEO, Willie “Prophet” Stiggers.

According to TMZ, Brandon—already 86′ed from one club, punched comedian Ben Gleib (a Chelsea Lately regular) at the Roosevelt Hotel. Cops reportedly found cocaine on Davis, and promptly scooted him off to Hollywood Pd, where he hopefully remains. The champ is charged with battery and possession of a controlled substance, though we’re sure a helicopter filled with money has already been sent to remedy the situation.

Davis Slams Family In Angry Post-arrest Statement
Jason Davis
Troubled U.S. oil heir Jason Davis has slammed his relatives in a bitter statement following his recent drugs bust, suggesting a member of his own family planted narcotics in his home.

The grandson of billionaire businessman Marvin Davis was arrested in Newport Beach, California on Thursday night. He is now facing a charge of possession of a controlled substance and has been released on $20,000 (£13,330) bail, reports TMZ.com.

According to the website, Davis fired off a statement after his release in which he accuses his family of calling cops and releasing details of his arrest to the press in a bid to boost their own public image.

Davis says, "I am shocked that my family would once again alert the police, and media, about a personal family matter simply to promote their own public image. You don't see Charlie Sheen's family calling the cops on him."

And he believes the drugs found by cops may have been part of a cruel set up, adding, "Authorities are investigating whether a certain family member planted the drugs in my home."

Davis' arrest came a day after he appeared on a live reunion episode of Celebrity Rehab, on which he starred last year in a bid to get professional help for his addictions. On the show, which aired in the U.S. on Wednesday, he insisted he had been clean since completing treatment.

Oil Heir Davis Busted For Drug Possession

U.S. oil heir Jason Davis has been arrested on suspicion of drug possession, a day after declaring he was clean during a live episode of hit reality show Celebrity Rehab.

A live reunion episode of Celebrity Rehab aired in the U.S. on Wednesday, when Davis claimed he had managed to stay sober.

But he appears to have slipped back into his wild ways and was picked up by cops in Newport Beach, California on Thursday night.

He is facing a charge of possession of a controlled substance and has been placed on $20,000 (£13,330) bail, reports TMZ.com.
