Gabriel Barragan Senties is a Mexican filmmaker born in Mexico City. Took his first steps in filmmaking at age 16 as a production assistant in several independent short films. In 2012, after completing a Bachelors degree in Social Communication Studies, he directed his first short film, a fiction called "Cigarros" starring television, theatre and movie star Flavio Medina. Simultaneously, he wrote, co directed and co produced a documentary short film called "Truth is not killed" ("No se mata la verdad"), which portrays the violence suffered by journalists in Mexico during the so called "War against drug cartels". In 2014 he completed a Masters degree in Development and Management of Audiovisual Production in Barcelona, Spain. Began his professional career in feature films in 2015 as a second second assistant director. In 2018 he debuted as Screenwriter and Director in "For Better or For Worse" ("En las Buenas y en las Malas"), a romantic dramedy based on 2011's chilean blockbuster "Que Pena tu Boda".
