Doug Abel(I)

Doug grew up in Manhattan and learned about filmmaking as a teenager via a friend whose dad was a documentary director. They made many short films together, and Doug ended up as a Film Studies major at Wesleyan University in Connecticut. He met his future wife Jenny Brown while they were working together for Errol Morris on his "First Person" series in 2000. They married in 2004 and the pair co-founded a charity called Woodstock Farm Sanctuary, which rescues farm animals.
