She was pregnant at the time she was filming O Homem de Palha (1973), and as a result, a body double had to be used for some of the rear shots during the sequence where her character is dancing around naked and singing in an attempt to seduce Edward Woodward's character.

Had an affair with rocker Rod Stewart in the mid-'70s, and sang French on his smash hit "Tonight's the Night". When she found out he was unfaithful to her, she filed a $12.5-million palimony suit, claiming that she gave up much of her career for him and that she deserved a large portion of his income as compensation.
