It needs to be seen as a kid and I never saw it as a kid, I saw it as an adult in his 50s in the 2020s. Screenings were delayed for a very long time mostly because I never knew a 1200 episode 60s soap opera was available to the public. A YouTuber made me aware it was available** Okay, time travel. Episode 366 goes back in time to the 18th century....and remains in the 18th century for 94 episodes! The series then goes back to the 1960s...only to return to the distant past AGAIN for about 180 back-to-back episodes! The time travel episodes of Dark Shadows had some good moments but were seriously damaged by letting regular cast members (Dr Julia Hoffman, Willie Loomis, etc) play totally different (and totally obnoxious) characters in the distant past. By episode 900 we finally seemed to be free of the time travels...for a while.
