Over baked

Over baked and same-y. Sorry line went round in circles. Not many genuine moments of humerus material. Played on too many of the same old tricks in the final season. Whilst I admit that Tony's grief would be very difficult to overcome, in the context of a series, it plays on his situation too much and was much a repeat of the previous seasons. A lot of montages and long drawn out and unnecessary scenes.

Always so sad to see Tony still wallowing, however understandable it may be. Love the cactus bit, that was just pure comedy. Good acting and character progression.

Why the change in tone??

Wasn't Tony looking much more positively in his life outlook at the end of series 2? Why the switch back to wallowing and gloom? Why is he now so cold towards Emma when the ice was definitely melting at the end of season 2? No explanation given. This ep was also steeped to the max in sentimentality and worship of the oh so perfect dearly departed Lisa. Disappointing.

Seen it before

Same old same old with literally no development and lazy writing. A few smirks but it feels like a soap opera that will just go on and on, the scene on the bench was particularly galling and cheaply manipulative. A shame.

The unexplained absence of Sandy is saddening...

Sandy was in my opinion, part of the foundation of the show. She was one of the more relatable characters just wanting to live a normal life without the burden of 'family' and other expectation. Sad to see her disappear, content the show has returned for another season.
