After losing four friends to alcohol abuse, Donal swore off in 1991 and has remained sober ever since.

Studied History at Harvard University.

His father Michael J. Logue taught as a Carmelite Catholic Missionary in Catholic Mission Schools in Nigeria, where he met his future wife, Elizabeth. They married and then moved to England.

His role as Quinn in "Blade" was originally a minor role, but he was so funny on set, the director expanded his part, and allowed him to ad-lib much of his dialogue.
