The Serpent

When I read the info on this movie it sounded very interesting. I like movies with a strong female lead who can kick butt and was looking forward to watching it. But nothing could have prepared me for this mess! Honestly, I only kept watching to find out what the big mystery was! The poor lead had two expressions: her eyes got bigger and her lips pursed when she was shocked or upset. That was it! I thought it could have been so much better with a better script, director and lead actress. When I learned that the writer and director was Gia I saw what went wrong. The editing was also poor, but there is only so much a person can do with such a bad movie.

Very amateurish...

At least some beginner filmmakers start with some projects they can handle, and learn -- before attempting a longer ambitious project. This was a HUGE bite, very poorly executed, and the result is BAD.

There are more flaws in this thing than anything -- in writing, directing, editing, etc., etc.

I feel sorry for the actors -- for them, I gave this a 2 rating. In spite of the obviously poor direction, not all look as bad as the "star".

I see a lot of 10 "ratings" LOL!! They are obviously fake.

What on earth have I just watched!!

The background music is constant and annoying - as well as being inappropriate for whatever happens to be on screen.

The continuity is all over the place - I don't think anyone thought about joining the pieces of this film together - and the editing is constant cut scenes - sometimes with characters moving to completely different positions from shot to shot.

The story is just ridiculous - as is the script/dialogue.

Then we come to the 'acting'. Oh my word - it is AWFUL. Wooden doesn't come close to describing how bad it is. The main character hardly changes expression - maybe it's because of the plastic surgery - and it seems as though her 'dialogue' had been dubbed in post-production

The stunts/action is just as stupid as the rest of the film.

This is one you REALLY shouldn't waste your time or money on.

The headline says it all. The only reason I'm continuing to type? It says my review is too short.

Editing...awful.

Story line....weak.

Acting....poor.

Plastic surgery:... painful to watch.

Stunt...none.

Don't, just don't do it. And if you, please, rate it very low to make up for their buddies pumping up the rating.
