IAI project Small-scale Fisheries and Marine Ecosystem Services: Adaptation and Transformation to Secure Human Wellbeing (SGP-HW017), is one of the featured stories in the 2ºC: Beyond the Limit Series published by the Washington Post and winner of the 2020 Pulitzer Prize for Explanatory Reporting.
The IAI Small Grant MAP-Fire research team have released two reports on the 2019 air quality and burned areas in the State of Acre, Brazil, in the Southwestern Amazon. Although this is not the first time that the air quality in the area has deteriorated due to fires, it is the first time that the impacts on air quality have been measured in situ.
The AQUASEC Center of Excellence for Water Security, established by the IAI, strengthens links between researchers and water authorities in the Americas.
