Amber is the Associate Editorial Director overseeing news content for Health, ensuring that readers stay up-to-date on trending topics like COVID-19, as well as the most recent research in the health and wellness space.

She joined Health in 2019, first as a senior editor covering health news and condition content, before being promoted to Deputy Conditions Editor to manage all of the site's condition centers. Prior to Health, she held editorial positions at Women's Health, SELF, Prevention, and Men's Health. Her work has also been featured on Vice.

Amber received a 2020 New York Fellowship from the Association of Health Care Journalists, and was awarded bronze in the Digital Health Awards - Digital Health Media Article Series, for managing Health's 2020 COVID-19 coverage.

Education

Amber received her master's degree in magazine, newspaper, and online journalism from Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Communications, and a bachelor's degree in writing from Ithaca College. She is also a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM)-certified personal trainer.
