The Weld RE-4 School District invites the community to see a “worldwide sensation that has audiences everywhere dancing” at Windsor High School.

The Windsor High School Theatre Department’s production of “Mamma Mia!” will run at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 13 through Saturday, March 15 in the auditorium of the school at 1100 Main St., according to a Weld RE-4 news release.

Told through the legendary music of ABBA, “Mamma Mia!” follows the story of a mother-daughter duo on a small Greek island.

Sophie, the daughter, dreams of having her father give her away at her upcoming wedding. The problem? She doesn’t know who he is. The information has remained unrevealed by her mother Donna, former lead singer of a ’70s pop group, “Donna and the Dynamos.

That’s why Sophie decides to take matters into her own hands — sneaking a peek at her mother’s old diaries. To her surprise, the diaries reveal she has three possible fathers: Sam, Bill or Harry.

Sophie secretly invites all three men from her mom’s past to her wedding, convinced she will know her father when she sees him. However, when her top-secret guests arrive on the island, it may not be as clear as she thought.
